Common IP typing mistakes

  • Letter l instead of number 1
  • Letter o instead of number 0
  • Missing dots or extra dots
  • Using a hyphenated search form in the browser address bar
  • Searching Google instead of typing into the address bar

Default username and password

Correcting the IP does not reveal a password. Do not use admin/admin, blank password or a copied generic list. Use the exact device label, setup record, ISP process or model-specific recovery.

If corrected address fails

Use Router IP Finder and confirm your device is connected to the correct network. A factory reset is not the first solution.
